Description

1. Choose the dice count, faces, color, and modifier, then click Roll.
2. Supported faces are D2, D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20, and D100. You can roll 1-6 dice at once and the total is calculated automatically.
3. The modifier is added to the total, which is useful for D20 checks and similar adjustments.
4. Results use the browser’s cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), so each face is equally likely.
5. Settings and history are stored in your browser and are not uploaded to the server.

Dice types

1. D4: a tetrahedron, often used for small-weapon damage in TTRPGs.
2. D6: the classic cube, used in many board games and Monopoly-style games.
3. D8 / D10 / D12: common for damage rolls and special checks in role-playing games.
4. D20: the core die in D&D-style RPGs for deciding whether an action succeeds.
5. D100: used for percentile checks in systems such as Call of Cthulhu.

FAQ

1. Are virtual dice as fair as physical dice? This tool uses cryptographic randomness, so each face has an equal chance and is not affected by manufacturing bias.
2. What is the difference between 3D6 and 1D18? 3D6 ranges from 3 to 18 with a bell-curve distribution; 1D18 is a uniform roll from 1 to 18.
3. What is exploding dice? When a die rolls its maximum, you roll again and add the new result. This can chain without an upper limit.
